The ConVal School District encourages the community to participate in the strategic planning process

For immediate release

PETERBOROUGH — Superintendent Kimberly Rizzo Saunders wants to provide an update on the ConVal School District’s strategic planning process and encourage community members to participate.

Strategic plans act as a roadmap for the district to follow over a five-year period, highlighting specific projects and goals for long-term sustainable growth. The most recent strategic plan was created in 2016 and lasted until June 2021.

“We hope the development of the strategic plan will be a community effort,” Superintendent Rizzo Saunders said. “We want to hear from families, students, staff and residents of the nine cities that make up the ConVal community throughout this process. This way, the district can determine which strategies will have the greatest impact and most align with community priorities. »

Community members are asked to complete a two-question preliminary survey here so that the district can better understand the ways stakeholders want to participate in the process. A more comprehensive survey will be released in the coming weeks to gather feedback on long-term strategies and goals.

Along with the survey, the district will collect feedback through focus groups. Community members will also have the opportunity to attend public meetings. Meeting dates and times will be announced when available.

A draft of the strategic plan is expected to be completed by June 2022. The plan is subject to school board approval before it can be implemented.

More information about the strategic planning process can be found on the district’s website here.
